North Korea said its latest weapons tests included ballistic missiles equipped with cluster-bomb warheads, according to state media reports cited by the Associated Press.
The report said the tests, conducted over three days, also featured anti-aircraft systems, electromagnetic weapons and carbon-fiber bombs.
South Korea’s military confirmed detecting multiple missile launches from North Korea’s eastern coast, with projectiles traveling up to 700 kilometers before landing in the sea.

According to KCNA, the missiles were capable of striking wide areas with high intensity, signaling enhanced battlefield capabilities.
The report said tensions between the two Koreas remain high, with Pyongyang calling South Korea its “most hostile enemy state” and dismissing efforts to revive dialogue.
North Korean leader Kim Jong Un has continued expanding nuclear-capable weapons after talks with President Donald Trump collapsed in 2019.
Meanwhile, North Korea is strengthening ties with China and Russia, with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi expected to visit Pyongyang.
