Suspect In Boulder Attack Was In U.S. Illegally, White House Confirms

Emergency responders attend the scene of Sunday's attack on people calling for the release of hostages still in Gaza

A man arrested for attacking a pro-Israel group in Boulder, Colorado, is an undocumented immigrant who overstayed a tourist visa, the White House said Monday.

Mohamed Sabry Soliman, 45, allegedly hurled Molotov cocktails and used a makeshift flame-thrower on a crowd gathered for a “Run For Their Lives” walk supporting hostages held by Hamas. At least eight people, ages 52 to 88, were injured. One victim is a Holocaust survivor, friends told CNN.

Witness video shows chaos as flames erupted, with bystanders rushing to help. Soliman reportedly shouted “Free Palestine” during the assault and accidentally set himself on fire before being arrested.

White House adviser Stephen Miller claimed the Biden administration issued Soliman’s visa and later gave him a work permit.

The FBI is investigating the incident as an act of terrorism.
