President Donald Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Tuesday claimed that joint U.S.-Israeli strikes have significantly damaged Iran’s nuclear capabilities.

“The nuclear sites were obliterated,” Trump wrote on Truth Social, thanking U.S. B-2 bomber pilots for their role in the operation. His remarks followed a statement from Netanyahu’s office, citing the Israel Atomic Energy Commission, which said the U.S. strike on the Fordow enrichment site “destroyed the site's critical infrastructure and rendered the enrichment facility inoperable.”

The commission added that combined U.S. and Israeli strikes have likely set back Iran’s ability to produce nuclear weapons “by many years.” The setback, it said, could be permanent if Iran is denied access to nuclear material.

The Fordow facility was one of three sites targeted in Saturday’s U.S. airstrikes, which involved 30,000-pound bunker-buster bombs. Iran has not confirmed the extent of the damage but has vowed to retaliate.
