Speaking to reporters on the sidelines of the G7 summit in Évian, France, Trump dismissed reports suggesting the U.S. would provide financial investment to Iran. He described those claims as inaccurate and emphasized that no American funds would be committed under the agreement.

According to the report, Trump made the remarks shortly after announcing that the U.S. and Iran had reached a deal aimed at ending the conflict in the Middle East.

The comments came as leaders of the Group of Seven nations gathered in France for high-level discussions on global economic and geopolitical issues. Representatives from the European Union and Ukraine were also attending the summit.

The report said Trump’s remarks were intended to clarify speculation surrounding the terms of the U.S.-Iran agreement.
