President Donald Trump lashed out Wednesday at a New York Times report questioning his age, stamina and signs of fatigue, calling the story a political hit job and attacking the female reporter who wrote it.

In a lengthy social media post, the 79-year-old president insisted he is “full of energy” and working harder than ever, despite being the oldest person to assume the presidency.

Trump said the Times ignored what he described as major accomplishments, including last year’s election victory, a strong stock market and progress toward ending foreign conflicts.

He called the publication an “enemy of the people” and labeled the reporter “ugly,” continuing a pattern of insulting female journalists.

The New York Times defended its work, saying its reporting was based on firsthand facts and that personal attacks would not stop its coverage.

The article comes as questions about Trump’s age and fitness intensify during his second term.
