The United Arab Emirates briefly issued a warning to residents on Tuesday after its Defence Ministry detected two missiles launched from Iran toward the country.
The ministry later said both missiles landed in the waters off the UAE coast, while authorities lifted the public alert shortly afterward.
Residents were instructed by phone alert to seek safety in the nearest secure building as officials assessed the potential threat.
The latest warning comes as tensions remain high over the Strait of Hormuz and relations between Washington and Tehran.
President Donald Trump said Tuesday that there were no talks or scheduled discussions with Iran, while the strategically important waterway remained open despite continuing regional security concerns.
