UK Refuses U.S. Request To Use Bases In Potential Iran Strike, Say Media Reports

Britain has blocked a request from President Donald Trump to allow US forces to use key UK air bases for any preemptive strike on Iran, according to CNN and multiple British media reports.

Prime Minister Keir Starmer denied access to RAF Fairford and Diego Garcia, citing concerns that such action could violate international law.

British officials reportedly argued that nations supporting an unlawful strike could share legal responsibility.

The decision comes as US military forces increase activity in the region amid rising tensions with Iran. Trump publicly criticized Britain’s stance and warned that blocking access could weaken US deterrence.

American use of UK bases has historically been reviewed on a case-by-case basis. The White House has not issued a formal response.
