Despite the interceptions, explosions were reported at an ammunition depot in occupied Luhansk, oil refineries in Nizhny Novgorod, and a petrochemical plant in Sterlitamak. Local officials confirmed damage to a water purification facility but reported no injuries.

In Kursk and Volgograd, drone debris caused power outages, leaving thousands without electricity. Videos shared online showed large fires at the Lukoil Nizhegorodnefteorgsintez refinery.
Ukraine has repeatedly said Russian oil and energy sites are legitimate military targets, arguing that fossil fuel revenues fund Moscow’s war effort. The Kyiv Independent said details of the attacks could not be independently verified.
