Britain’s King Charles III is set to address the U.S. Congress with a message focused on strengthening ties between the United Kingdom and the United States, despite recent tensions with President Donald Trump.
The visit, reported by international media, comes amid disagreements over the U.S.-Israeli war on Iran and trade disputes.
According to palace sources, the speech will highlight shared democratic values, global security challenges, and the long-standing “special relationship” between the two nations. It will be only the second time a British monarch addresses Congress.

The four-day state visit, which includes meetings with U.S. officials and a state dinner, aims to reinforce diplomatic ties. British Prime Minister Keir Starmer is seeking to ease tensions following criticism from Washington over Britain’s stance on the Iran conflict.
The report said underlying concerns remain over tariffs, defense policy differences, and broader geopolitical disagreements between the two allies.
