European leaders are increasingly uneasy about the conflict, with concerns that it could spiral into another long-term war similar to Iraq or Afghanistan. According to officials, countries including France, the U.K., and Italy are wary of being drawn deeper into a conflict they were not consulted on.
The economic toll is also mounting. The report said the European Union has spent billions more on energy imports as supply disruptions intensify.
Meanwhile, negotiations remain stalled. President Donald Trump cancelled planned talks in Pakistan, while Iran has proposed conditional concessions. U.S. officials are expected to respond with a counter-offer soon.
