Leaders attending the G7 summit in France are still seeking clarity on the recently announced U.S.-Iran agreement, reported by CNN. Despite extensive discussions among world leaders, many key details of the memorandum remain undisclosed, creating uncertainty among allies and policymakers.
According to the report, neither Washington nor Tehran has released the full text of the agreement, resulting in conflicting public statements about its provisions. President Donald Trump and senior administration officials have offered differing timelines for when the document will become public.
The agreement is expected to be formally signed in Switzerland later this week, with Vice President JD Vance expected to attend.
Discussions are also continuing over major unresolved issues, including the future of the Strait of Hormuz, sanctions relief, Iran’s nuclear program, uranium stockpiles, and inspection mechanisms.
CNN reported that European and Gulf leaders want greater transparency before committing resources or implementing aspects of the arrangement. Even some conservative Trump allies have publicly called for the agreement’s full release, arguing that its terms should be openly scrutinized before further steps are taken.
