The report said Legion filed the lawsuit after arguing that the government's directive gave federal officials the authority to restrict commercial AI services without sufficient notice or due process.

The company claimed the move disrupted its engineering operations and threatened its business.

Legion CEO Arthur Rothrock said the company achieved its objective because access to Anthropic's AI models has now been restored.

According to the report, the case was dismissed without prejudice, allowing the startup to refile if necessary.

Rothrock also called for greater transparency, clearer regulatory guidelines, and a defined process for future government actions involving advanced AI technologies.
