Lesley Groff, the longtime executive assistant to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, appeared before the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee on Tuesday for a closed-door transcribed interview.

According to MS NOW, Groff worked for Epstein for nearly two decades and played a key role in coordinating his meetings and managing his schedule. Her name reportedly appears more than 150,000 times in Justice Department files related to Epstein.

Groff has not been charged with any crime, and her attorney, Michael Bachner, has maintained that she had no criminal involvement with Epstein’s activities.

The interview is part of the committee’s broader investigation into Epstein’s network and associates.

Committee Chairman Rep. James Comer said the inquiry has been productive and revealed that two individuals have already been referred to the Department of Justice, though he declined to identify them.

The hearing comes one day before Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates is scheduled to appear before the same panel. Neither Gates nor Groff has been accused of wrongdoing in connection with Epstein.

The report said lawmakers continue to seek greater transparency and accountability as questions remain over unreleased Epstein-related documents held by the Justice Department.

President Donald Trump recently nominated Todd Blanche, his former defense attorney, to serve as attorney general following the dismissal of Pam Bondi.
