House Republicans Refer New Epstein Allegations To Justice Department

The request follows Kellen's closed-door testimony before congressional investigators last month

House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer and other Republican lawmakers are urging the Justice Department to investigate new allegations raised by Sarah Kellen, a longtime assistant to Jeffrey Epstein, according to a letter first obtained by CNN.

The request follows Kellen's closed-door testimony before congressional investigators last month. According to a newly released transcript, Kellen accused celebrity hairstylist Frederic Fekkai and former Miami Beach Mayor Philip Levine of separate incidents of sexual assault.

She also alleged that fashion photographer Patrick Demarchelier exposed himself to her. None of the three men has been charged with crimes related to Epstein.

Comer said the committee is not responsible for determining guilt but believes the allegations warrant review by federal law enforcement. The report said Fekkai and Levine have denied wrongdoing.

Kellen also provided additional details about alleged abuse by Epstein and convicted associate Ghislaine Maxwell. According to the transcript, she described years of manipulation, control and sexual abuse while working in Epstein's orbit.

Kellen told lawmakers she met President Donald Trump only once briefly at Mar-a-Lago and did not allege wrongdoing by Trump or several other prominent figures she said she encountered through Epstein.
