India launched Operation Sindoor on May 7, striking nine terror camps in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir in response to a recent deadly attack in Jammu and Kashmir. Targets included Lashkar-e-Taiba’s base in Muridke and Jaish-e-Mohammad’s headquarters in Bahawalpur. India emphasized the strikes were "focused, measured, and non-escalatory," avoiding Pakistani military installations. The name Sindoor is believed to honor the women who lost loved ones in the attack.
I am monitoring the situation between India and Pakistan closely. I echo @POTUS's comments earlier today that this hopefully ends quickly and will continue to engage both Indian and Pakistani leadership towards a peaceful resolution.

Israel supports India’s right for self defense. Terrorists should know there’s no place to hide from their heinous crimes against the innocent. #OperationSindoor
