Egypt Summit: Trump Credits Arab, Muslim Nations For Gaza Ceasefire Breakthrough

President Donald Trump delivered a sweeping address at the Sharm el-Sheikh Summit, declaring that the war in Gaza is over and calling the newly brokered ceasefire “historic.”

Trump praised Arab and Muslim nations for their role in achieving the breakthrough, emphasizing that “a new and beautiful day is rising” as civilians return home and aid flows into Gaza.

He extended special thanks to Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi and Qatari Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, crediting them for their mediation efforts.

Trump also lauded Turkiye’s President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, and UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed for supporting the peace process.

Meanwhile, the Israeli Prison Service confirmed the release of 1,968 Palestinian prisoners as part of the ceasefire deal.

Trump’s speech, met with praise from global leaders, marked a major diplomatic milestone for his administration and regional partners.
