Trump Says China Will Purchase U.S. Oil, Gas, And Crops After “Historic” Meeting

President Donald Trump announced that his meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping resulted in several major economic and security agreements. Trump said China will begin purchasing large quantities of American agricultural products such as soybeans and sorghum, a move he said would benefit U.S. farmers.

He also stated that China agreed to continue the open export of rare earth minerals and critical materials to the United States.

In a significant development, Trump said Beijing pledged to work with Washington to curb the flow of fentanyl into the U.S., calling it a major step toward ending the opioid crisis.

Additionally, discussions are underway for a potential large-scale energy deal involving oil and gas from Alaska.

Trump described the talks as “historic,” claiming they would boost prosperity and strengthen America’s global standing. He concluded by emphasizing renewed international respect for the U.S. following his Asia trip.
