The United States has deployed more than 900 military personnel to support earthquake relief operations in Venezuela following the devastating twin earthquakes that struck the country on June 24.
Working alongside Venezuela's interim authorities, U.S. forces are assisting with search-and-rescue efforts, logistics and humanitarian aid distribution as recovery operations continue.
The U.S. military has transported personnel, emergency equipment and relief supplies using Air Force C-17 and C-130 cargo aircraft, while the USS Fort Lauderdale has docked at the port of La Guaira to support ongoing operations. Washington has committed more than $300 million in humanitarian assistance.
Military engineers have also repaired and reopened Caracas' airport to facilitate the arrival of international aid.
Officials said coordinated logistics remain central to delivering assistance efficiently as relief operations continue across the hardest-hit areas.
