Iran has submitted a fresh proposal to revive stalled peace talks with the United States, delivering it through Pakistan, according to AFP and Iranian state media. The report said negotiations remain frozen despite a ceasefire that has held since early April.
Tehran continues to control the Strait of Hormuz, disrupting global energy supplies, while the US has imposed a counterblockade on Iranian ports. According to The Wall Street Journal, Donald Trump has prepared for a prolonged standoff, contributing to elevated oil prices.
