Authorities have launched an investigation into a deadly fire at a music bar in Bangkok that killed at least 28 people and critically injured dozens more.
According to the report, most of the victims were found inside windowless bathrooms near a rear exit, where they are believed to have sought refuge from the flames and thick smoke.
The report said Bangkok Governor Chadchart Sittipunt stated that most fatalities were caused by smoke inhalation.
Police believe access to emergency exits may have been obstructed by furniture and displays, while some exit doors may have been locked, preventing patrons from escaping.
Officials are also examining whether flammable decorative materials and the building's electrical wiring contributed to the rapid spread of the fire.
Investigators are continuing forensic examinations to determine the exact cause of Bangkok's deadliest fire in 17 years.
