Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy arrived at the White House on Friday afternoon for his fourth meeting this year with President Donald Trump, as both leaders work to advance peace efforts and discuss a potential new U.S.-Ukraine arms deal amid the ongoing Russia-Ukraine war.
The talks follow Trump’s recent phone call with Russian President Vladimir Putin and come ahead of a planned Trump-Putin meeting in Budapest in two weeks.

Zelenskyy is seeking U.S. approval to purchase Tomahawk missiles to target key Russian positions. However, Trump has not yet confirmed the sale, calling the weapons “vicious” and emphasizing diplomacy after his success brokering a cease-fire between Israel and Hamas.
The Kremlin has warned that sending Tomahawks would mark a “serious escalation.”

Meanwhile, Ukrainian officials have been lobbying U.S. lawmakers and defense executives, underscoring Kyiv’s push for deeper security guarantees and stronger military support.
