Warren Buffett has excluded the Gates Foundation from his latest annual Berkshire Hathaway stock donations, directing this year's charitable gifts entirely to four foundations linked to his family, according to Berkshire Hathaway.

The 95-year-old investor said he will donate nine million Class B shares to the Susan Thompson Buffett Foundation and one million shares each to the Sherwood Foundation, Howard G. Buffett Foundation and Novo Foundation.

Buffett also reiterated his goal of disposing of all his Berkshire shares within about eight years, with his children overseeing the process through 2034.

The report said the Gates Foundation, which has received more than $43 billion in Berkshire stock since 2006, was omitted after the Wall Street Journal reported Buffett was awaiting the outcome of a review into the foundation's reported ties to late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

In a March interview with CNBC, Buffett said he had not spoken with Bill Gates since the matter surfaced and preferred to wait until it was resolved.
