Ford Motor Co. has recalled more than 290,000 Super Duty trucks in the United States over a defect in the rearview camera system that could cause images to display improperly in certain lighting conditions, raising the risk of accidents.
According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), the recall covers select 2020–2022 models of the F-250, F-350, and F-450 Super Duty vehicles.

Ford said it discovered the issue after reviewing customer complaints and warranty data.
The company has so far received 10 reports of malfunctioning cameras since January 2022 but said there have been no accidents or injuries linked to the problem.
Dealers will update the camera’s image processing module free of charge. Ford will begin notifying affected owners on October 20, with final repair notices expected by March 2026.
