Cedric Lodge stole cadaver parts between 2018 and 2021 while working in Harvard Medical School's Anatomical Gifts Program. He was sentenced to eight years in prison in December, while his wife, Denise Lodge, received a sentence of one year and one day.

Harvard Medical School leaders described Lodge's conduct as a serious betrayal of the medical community's values and expressed regret to affected families. The settlement is expected to receive final approval in December.

According to the report, Harvard will also establish an annual scholarship for medical students. Attorneys said the agreement could reinforce accountability for institutions responsible for donated human remains.
