A South Korean cargo ship was left disabled after an Iranian attack in the Strait of Hormuz, and is now awaiting tow into Dubai, according to a report by Yonhap News Agency.

The vessel, NAMU, operated by Seoul-based HMM, suffered a fire that knocked out its main power supply on Monday. The report said the ship is currently running on backup power, with sufficient food and water for those on board.

According to Yonhap, six South Korean crew members plan to return home, while 24 multinational crew members are expected to remain onboard. The company said the fire has been contained and no further risks have been identified.

President Donald Trump stated the ship was struck by Iranian fire. Following the incident, South Korea said it would review whether to join U.S.-led efforts to secure shipping routes in the region.
