An Iran-aligned armed group known as the Islamic Resistance in Iraq has claimed to offer a $10 million reward for the killing of U.S. President Donald Trump.

According to the report, the group said the bounty was issued in retaliation for the January 2020 U.S. drone strike near Baghdad International Airport that killed Iranian General Qasem Soleimani and Iraqi militia leader Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis.

The report said the group's statement, circulated through affiliated channels, invoked religious language and vowed continued retaliation against those it holds responsible for the deaths of the two commanders.

The statement has not been independently verified, and no evidence has been presented to substantiate the claimed bounty.

According to the report, neither the White House nor U.S. authorities had publicly responded to the claim at the time of reporting, although threats against current or former U.S. presidents are routinely monitored by security agencies.

The reported threat comes as President Trump has confirmed that the U.S. military mission in Iraq is scheduled to conclude by September, amid ongoing regional tensions involving Iran-backed armed groups.
