What Triggered The Latest Unclaimed Strikes Inside Iran

Iranian authorities have not officially blamed any country, although an Iranian lawmaker accused the United Arab Emirates

A series of unclaimed airstrikes struck multiple locations across southern Iran after the U.S. military announced it had completed its latest round of attacks, raising fresh questions over who launched the new strikes, according to the Associated Press.

The attacks hit several provinces and cities as Iran prepared to bury late Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

Iranian authorities have not officially blamed any country, although an Iranian lawmaker accused the United Arab Emirates of secretly supporting the U.S. campaign. Gulf states have not responded to those allegations.

The report said U.S. Central Command confirmed it had completed strikes on about 90 targets before the additional explosions were reported. Iran later launched missile attacks toward Bahrain, Jordan, Kuwait and Qatar.

Meanwhile, Israel has not claimed responsibility for the latest strikes but warned it remains prepared for further military action if necessary. Iran also continues to insist it should control the Strait of Hormuz, despite U.S. calls to keep the strategic waterway open for international shipping.
