King Charles delivered a powerful speech in Ottawa today, reaffirming Canada’s sovereignty and independence during a symbolic visit amid U.S. annexation threats. Speaking from the throne as King of Canada, Charles warned of a rapidly changing world and urged Canadians to stand united in defending their values, freedoms, and identity.

“Canada is ready to lead,” he declared, calling on the nation to build new alliances and a resilient economy rooted in democratic ideals. Charles emphasized that Canada must remain a sovereign state, charting its own path on trade, security, and immigration.

He outlined Prime Minister Mark Carney’s policy goals, including tighter border controls, housing reform, and expanding energy leadership. Charles celebrated Canada’s diversity, indigenous partnerships, and linguistic heritage, and praised Radio Canada.

“The True North is indeed strong and free,” he concluded, earning a standing ovation from Parliament.
