Harvey Weinstein was convicted Wednesday of a top criminal sex act charge in his Manhattan retrial, offering partial vindication to his accusers in the landmark #MeToo case. The jury acquitted him of a second charge and was deadlocked on a third.
The retrial followed the overturning of Weinstein’s 2020 conviction. This time, jurors found him guilty of assaulting Miriam Haley in 2006 but cleared him of charges related to Kaja Sokola. They continue deliberating over Jessica Mann’s 2013 rape allegation.
The jury foreman in the Harvey Weinstein case has informed the judge that he has been threatened by one of the other jurors and that he fears for his safety.
