President Donald Trump hosted Iraqi Prime Minister Ali al-Zaidi at the White House to discuss expanding economic cooperation, increasing U.S. investment, and advancing a major oil pipeline project involving American companies.

According to the report, Trump expressed confidence in the Iraqi leader and highlighted energy partnerships as a key priority for strengthening bilateral relations.

The report said the discussions also focused on Iraq's efforts to disarm Iran-backed militias. U.S. officials indicated that Washington will evaluate Iraq's progress in addressing armed groups as part of its broader approach to future relations with Baghdad.
