Trump Warns Iran After Attacks On UAE And Gulf Shipping

U.S. President Donald Trump

Tensions between the United States and Iran escalated sharply after the United Arab Emirates reported missile and drone attacks allegedly launched by Iran, according to official statements.

The UAE Defence Ministry said its air defense systems intercepted multiple threats, including ballistic missiles and drones, and urged residents to seek shelter.

A social media account linked to Iran’s Revolutionary Guard appeared to confirm the strikes, while Tehran’s state media denied U.S. claims that Iranian boats were destroyed.

According to Reuters, U.S. forces said they sank six Iranian vessels attempting to disrupt commercial shipping in the Strait of Hormuz.

President Donald Trump warned Iran of severe consequences if American-protected ships were targeted.

The White House did not clarify whether the incident breaches the ceasefire. Markets reacted quickly, with oil prices rising and stocks falling amid fears of renewed conflict.
