The U.S. intelligence assessments indicate Iran is rebuilding parts of its military infrastructure much faster than initially expected following U.S.-Israeli strikes, according to CNN. Officials reportedly believe Iran has already restarted some drone production during the six-week ceasefire that began in April.

The report said Iran is replacing missile launchers, rebuilding production capacity and restoring key weapons systems damaged during the conflict. One U.S. official told CNN that Iran could fully restore its drone attack capabilities within six months.

According to the intelligence assessments, Iran still retains significant ballistic missile, drone and coastal defense capabilities despite heavy military damage. Officials also reportedly believe support from Russia and China has helped Tehran accelerate recovery efforts, though China denied supplying missile-related components.

The findings appear to conflict with recent testimony from CENTCOM commander Adm. Brad Cooper, who said Operation Epic Fury had destroyed 90% of Iran’s defense industrial base and delayed recovery for years.

President Donald Trump has repeatedly warned that military action could resume if negotiations with Tehran fail.
