On Monday, we posted an editorial reflecting our most recent I&I/TIPP poll, which found that by a 4-to-1 margin, Americans think their taxes have gone up, despite the seven major tax cuts contained in the One Big Beautiful Bill Act.
(See: “This I&I/TIPP Poll Is A Warning: Trump Needs To Do A Much Better Job Selling His Tax Cuts.”)
“Our poll findings should be a red flag for President Donald Trump,” we wrote, and went on to say:
He needs to do a much better job of telling the public the truth about the tax cuts he signed into law. About how they are benefiting working-class families. About how his policies are accelerating economic growth.
Yes, we know, Trump has talked about his tax cuts. But clearly not enough. Certainly not enough to overcome the Democrats’ and the media’s chorus of lies.
Trump knows how to sell stuff. So why isn’t he and his administration out there selling his tax cuts and his economic growth message, day in and day out?
Well, Thursday morning, we came across this headline in Newsmax: “Trump to Promote Tax Breaks in Las Vegas.”
While in Vegas, Newsmax says, Trump will “hold a roundtable with several police officers who have benefited from new tax breaks on overtime, along with a barber and a casino pit supervisor, who got to claim the new tax breaks on tips.”
Now, of course, we can’t be sure that Trump read our editorial and said, “You know, those fellas at Issues & Insights are right!”
But we will take credit for it nonetheless.
Immigration Hits Record High In EU
The number of immigrants living in the European Union rose to a record 64.2 million in 2025, an increase of roughly 2.1 million from the previous year, according to a new report.

Spain recorded the fastest recent growth, with its foreign-born population increasing by 700,000 in 2024 to a total of 9.5 million.
Meanwhile, Germany remains the largest host country in absolute terms, with nearly 18 million immigrants.
However, smaller nations tend to have a higher proportion of immigrants relative to their populations.
Luxembourg leads the EU, with immigrants making up around 52% of its population – far above the EU average of about 14%.
It is followed by Malta at 32% and Cyprus at 28%, while Ireland and Austria also report relatively high shares at around 23%.
Concerns Rising Over Anthropic’s Mythos AI Tool
Anthropic’s new Mythos AI model has raised concerns after the company said it found thousands of serious vulnerabilities in major operating systems and web browsers.

Mythos is Anthropic’s most advanced AI model to date, equipped with sophisticated capabilities and designed for defensive cybersecurity tasks.
Claude Mythos Preview launched on April 7 through a controlled initiative called “Project Glasswing”, granting access to tech majors including Amazon, Microsoft, Nvidia, and Apple.
Experts warned that the model can identify and exploit previously unknown vulnerabilities faster than companies can repair them.
Its advanced coding and autonomous capabilities could dramatically accelerate sophisticated cyberattacks, particularly in sectors such as banking that rely on complex, interconnected, and often decades-old technology systems, they have said.
