Ukrainian drones have struck targets across several Russian regions overnight, in what appears to be the latest long-range attack on Moscow’s vital oil industry.

Ukraine’s General Staff said it had struck the Saratov oil refinery on the Volga River, causing a large fire. Saratov regional governor Roman Busargin said on Telegram that “civil infrastructure” had been damaged in the strike, but gave no more details.

Russia’s Defense Ministry said it had downed 216 drones overnight.

Kyiv said it had also struck the Lazarevo pumping station in the Kirov region, northeast of Moscow, and around 1,300km from Ukrainian-held territory.

Colombia Presidential Election Heads To Run-Off

A leftist senator and a right-wing populist outsider who admires Donald Trump will go to a run-off presidential election on June 21 after no candidate won outright in the first round of voting on May 31.

Millionaire businessman Abelardo de la Espriella, who calls himself “El Tigre”, won 43.7% of the vote, while Iván Cepeda, a long-time senator, human rights activist and son of a murdered communist leader, received just under 41%, according to official results from the national registry office.

The two candidates were separated by less than two percentage points in a race dominated by concerns over security, the economy, and populist policies.

The campaign was marred by violence, including drone attacks, kidnappings, and homicides, and unfolded in the shadow of last year's assassination of a presidential candidate at a campaign rally.

To the Mogambo Guru, the Federal Reserve were a gang of drunken arsonists locked inside the nation’s monetary basement, ecstatically spraying gasoline on the future while court economists in bespoke suits assured the public there was nothing to worry about.

The Sedation Of Appalachia

This isn’t a story about weakness. It’s a story about what happens when every institution that once made hardship survivable is now removed at the same time, and the market for chemical sedation expands to fill the void.

The Subjective Nature Of Time: From Bergson To Mises

Ludwig von Mises recognized the full significance of this distinction and built it into the architecture of praxeology, permanently separating the Austrian School from its neoclassical rivals and from the illusion that human behavior can be captured in a mathematical model.
